Hello! We’re just back from an amazing trip to Morocco in North Africa. We got to explore some lovely areas in the Atlas Mountains and in the city of Marrakesh and had the most perfect weather the entire time. We’re all feeling relaxed and re-charged and are even a little bronzed.
The kids were so happy and enthusiastic about everything we did, the places we saw and the people we met. They have all decided that we should visit Morocco every year for the February break (I guess we should start saving now).
They loved the hikes in the mountains, the day-long camel trek, all the new Moroccan foods they tried, the fact they could practice their French, the little kids they got to know and just the fact that the five of us were together experiencing all these new and exciting things together.
A pretty perfect trip for all of us.

Welcome back! I can only imagine what an incredible trip it must have been—the colors! the smells! the food!
Also, I’ve heard camels are really smelly. True?
Surprisingly enough these camels weren’t so smelly. And this from a girl who has a very sensitive sense of smell!
But I will admit that I was walking a little funny for days afterwards. Oh well….the kids were in heaven the whole time so it’s all worth it.

I’m (not so) secretly wishing for a trip to Morocco for my birthday this year. Would love to hear about your other recommendations—where to stay, eat, shop, etc.
I’ll be doing a few write-ups of our trip in the coming weeks and and I’ll give all details on where we stayed and ate etc. By the way, when is your b-day? And how old would your little one be by then? Morocco with a newborn would be an adventure!
